About the Instructor: Ms. Headrick

Hello. My name is Donna Headrick. I will be your instructor for this online pharmacology class. I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years and a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for 7 years. I have taught Pharmacology for several years for a nursing program, and am so excited to teach your Pharamacology course. I practice medicine in Bakersfield, California and so I guess "office hours" will not be possible . . . However, I am available to answer your questions almost daily to help you as you travel through this course.

This pharmacology course is very important to your nursing careers. I know it will feel as though it is going way too fast and you may feel overwhelmed. I will try to provide essential information to you. You will be learning pharmacology for as long as you are nurses. . . . . You will never not be learning this subject as there are many changes and new drugs each week! But, the principles will always remain the same. Learn the class of drug and what to expect from that drug and you will be strides ahead!
